Mt Wilson loop

Left early arrived at 857, parking lot was full had to drive a mile down and park along road.  Went clockwise, lots of shade up to the last mile, then I was blasted by the sun.  Had trouble finding the overlook with the sign once at observatory but met another hiker who got me there.  Lots of people at scenic overlook, I crawled out looking like id been lost for days, got plenty of stares.  Skipped cosmic café trying to navigate around the observatory.  Sturtevant trail was nearly empty until the falls.  Tons of bugs almost entire way, I would have needed a flame thrower, super annoying especially once it got hot towards summit with zero shade.  Quite a few fallen trees over trail and a huge rock slide.  Stepped off after 9am and made it back around 630pm.  Over 15 miles total, partly because of parking further down.  Wasn’t my favorite but had really nice parts. Was definitely strenuous.
