Wildflowers blooming

A great hike during the middle of week. Started before sunrise. The first part of the trail pushes through some dense vegetation before reaching a pine filled ravine. The first bench of the mountain offers great views of the San Francisco peaks to the north. The top of Mt Wilson, really a mesa, is covered in a well developed pine forest with great views of Sedona to the south. Did not venture the extra 3 miles to the north overlook. Done in about 3.5 hours. A great day.
