This was a TOUGH approach !! The trail to Charleston was beautiful and a gradual incline. About 3 miles in you’ll find the Carin that seem to just lead you straight up! And it does! The scree field is quite intense but totally worth it! Once you get to the top of that hang a right straight toward the mummy! The trail will lead you to the gulch with some easy 3rd class scrambling . From the summit you have beautiful views of Charleston and Griffith!
Great challenge! First time in a long time that a mile took me nearly an hour!
