NOT Strawberry fields

First of the 6 with my 17 yr old Ethan. We were surprised at how many people/cars were already scattered along Angeles Crest HWY at 8:30 am. Got what was probably the last parking spot in RedBox parking lot at 9am. Fun celebrity sighting as actor Paul Rudd and a group of guys started up the trail just ahead of us. Weather was slightly overcast, cool. Just right. The trail is well maintained and well traveled. I counted 21 people at the summit when we arrived at 11:35. I always use a hiking pole and it came in very handy on the steeper section near the summit. A good day and a good choice for our first of the 6 Peaks Challenge.
