Oak Grove Trail to High Point

Second go at this trail was a success! My not-quite-broken-in hiking boots gave me so many blisters during the first two miles up when I attempted this in May, I had to turn around. Wore my old running shoes this time and it was a much more enjoyable hike! The first two miles were tough, but it got easier after that. We had perfect weather today with a lot of unexpected shade due to our timing and the positioning of the sun just on the other side of the mountain for most of the day. Definitely wore me out but it was a great hike overall!
