Oaks Peak is Just a Tease on the Way to Alan Peak

Well, we were certain we had to go the extra 2+ miles past Oaks Peak and summit Alan Peak but according to the hikes listed here it is Oats Peak.  The trail was beautiful but not marked well – thank goodness we had All Trails that saved us numerous times, once we were off trail going the wrong direction for about 0.6 miles.  A LOT of mountain bikes coming and going as far as Oats Peak.  The 2+ miles further to Alan Peak was torturous, which made the way back very long.
