Ocean Views

Cool at first, but what ended up being a perfect day for hiking!

My partner and I started at the base of the Valencia trail, then switched to Oat Peak and along the ridge to Alan.

Along the ridge we enjoyed ocean views in multiple directions, then elevated high enough to venture through Oak trees.

The trail was a little muddy at the beginning, but overall in good shape, with a few rocks to boulder over towards the top.

Took us a little over 6 hours, including stops, so pretty close to what All Trails estimates.

No easy way to gather water, so if doing in summer/hotter months, be sure to take enough water.
