It was a beautiful afternoon to start my hike up Old Speck Mountain Trail. This was my second time hiking this peak and was looking forward to it doing the full look including the Ebrow Trail. Started of Hiking the Appalachian Train(AT) South up the mountain side. Weather and trails were perfect. There were a number of hikers on the trail. Had several water sources but there wasn’t a lot of flow. Didn’t see much wildlife on the way up but did see moose scat a number of time. Definitely a hard and challenging hike but was worth it. With beautiful 360 views once you climbed the fire tower at summit. I was going to stay at summit to catch a sunset and hike back after sundown but clouds rolling in and started to cover much of the skies. No sunset tho time.
