Wonderful views along the way. Incline is gradual with some steeper areas especially at the last push before the lookout tower.
Views get better and better as you move up and around the switchbacks. You can get some nice pics of Sunset Crater. The geology here is awesome!
Parking area is very small. Get there early! I started at 60 degrees and ended at 85 and it was HOT. Trail is full exposure with some spots along the way to hide in shade. No fees. Nice hike!
