This hike has a little bit of everything. The first section is nice and steep, with some rocky obstacles and just enough to keep you on your toes. It’s mossy, verdant, vibrant with new growth and hidden surprises (mushrooms, remnants of dwellings). Once you get to the fire road, the trail is wide and easy, and the views become the star attraction. The summit of the north peak has flat rocks to park your pack and have a picnic. Breathe deeply and take in the views.
