We arrived to the trailhead early, 545a. Got started about 6a and headed up. The water was flowing nicely and gave a nice backdrop for the first couple miles. There were lots of people starting the trail at the same time, a few trail runners and others with dogs. Everyone seemed to be in an amazing mood and this set the day for a great hike.

We made it to the saddle and took a little break to rehydrate and get some fruit in our systems. The rest of the trail had a moderate amount of horse flies and gnats that became annoying but the views made up for it all.

Made up to the peak about 3hrs from when we started and we’re welcomed by other hikers who had summited already. We took a few minutes for pics and to soak in the views then headed back down. Overall we took a little over six hours and enjoyed our day.
