This is a lovely hike!  We went clockwise and the ascent was almost east.  Good footing and beautiful views from the ridge.  We continued down the north side of the mountain and it was totally different experience.  Rocky steep scrambles for a lot longer than we expected, then a lovely stroll through the woods to finish the loop part of the trail.
