Palomar High Point

Started early to beat 15 traffic and the heat, on the trail by 6:30AM. Beautiful sunny, clear day started in the 60s but quickly warmed up to about 85 by the time I got back down. Bugs were increasingly annoying on the way up and pretty much constant on the way down, from flies dive bombing my head to clouds of gnats in the shadier areas. The route took me just under 4 hours but at a pretty good clip on the way up and jogging parts of the downhill. Carried 3L of water and .5L electrolytes and drank nearly all of it.
