Had a weekend camping trip at Paso Picacho planned so decided to tackle Cuyamaca Peak. Our route started at Azalea Glen Loop and took Conejos Trail to Fire Lookout Road, then to the peak, and all the way back down Fire Lookout Road. Azalea Glen and Conejos Trail were absolutely beautiful. So green and tons of wildflowers in bloom. Fire Lookout Road is paved and I didn’t really enjoy those parts of the hike. Views at the peak were nice. I’d make this an out and back next time.
