Peak 4 for CA Central Coast – Gaviota Peak

Started at 11:45am.  No bathrooms at the trailhead. There is a $2 parking fee. Cash only that goes in an envelope. Trail is easy to follow.  Gradual incline on a fire road. Nice views but when you get to the saddle the views become better with the ocean to the west and the mountains to the east. There is a short single-track trail up to the summit. Great hike! The stats – 6.24mi, 2184’ elevation gain, 2hrs 25min, drank <1ltr water, 10oz electrolytes, and a summit sandwich. Happy trails!
