Started my hike from the top of the tram at 10:20am. Trail is mostly easy to follow. After Wellman Divide there are some snow patches that are covering the trail. I was able to follow boot tracks that lead me in the right direction. After the hut there is still some snow that you need to navigate to the summit. It was fine going up that section but coming back down it was slushy and slippery. It’s melting fast. I brought microspikes but didn’t use them. Poles were fine. The stats – 12mi (tramway), 2500’ elevation gain, 6hrs 30min, drank 2ltr water, 16oz electrolytes, and a PBJ. Happy trails!
