Finally climbed El Cajon Mountain and finished my 6 pack of peaks! This one was a doozy! Really steep climbs, slippery trails. Lots of up and downs, so you still have lots of steep climbs on the way back. Very deceiving, too, because when you think you’re almost at the peak, you have another mile of rock scrambling to do.
But this was also an amazingly beautiful mountain. Hiking always makes me appreciate how beautiful San Diego is and how much this city has to offer. Where else can you have beautiful hiking weather in December, a week before Christmas?!
Onto the next challenge! ????
