Picacho Packs a Punch!

Wow! What a view from Picacho Peak!! ???? I loved everything about this hike! There was only 1 other vehicle in the parking lot when I arrived after 8am, so this was perfect for me ???????? Roughly the first mile of this trail is a gradual yet challenging incline. Then you reach the first set of steel cables which you will use to gain leverage as you hike up. After this, there are 3 or 4 more sets of cables as the trail becomes steeper and steeper. I’m glad I wore fitness gloves since this protected my hands from being rubbed raw from gripping the cables. There is a little scramble to the top, but the view is so worth it! Picacho Peak is a gorgeous summit and I highly recommend!!
