Picacho Peak and a flat tire

This hike was gorgeous! I parked outside of the state park to avoid the long line of cars. If you’re not opposed to the extra mileage, it made parking much easier!

The wildflowers were in a superbloom and their were lots of photographers around the base. The amount of people drops off when you start to gain elevation. This hike definitely kicked my butt, but I also absolutely loved it! The steel cables and the mental aspect of having to gain elevation, then lose it, then gain it back makes for a great hike. Couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day, until I came back to my car and a flat tire haha! Still worth it and would do this hike over and over again!
