It was a beautiful evening hike to watch the sunset from Piestewa Peak. There were lot of parking space available as we reach at the trail head around 3.45 PM. The trail to the peak is short , a little over one mile, steep, jagged, and consists of multiple switchbacks. It’s kind of good StairMaster workout for 35-40 minutes. If you plan to stay for the sunset, it is better to take a flashlight as some areas become dark soon after sunset. The 360 degree view of phoenix metropolitan from the top is amazing.
