Busy trail on MLK holiday.  Was pretty cold for us Phoenicians at the start and the wind was whipping.  Though short, there are a lot of step ups that give your legs a good workout.  Made good time to the top despite the crowded trail.  The rocks on the lower peak just North of the highest peak were filled with people.  We made the small extra scramble up to what is the highest point for a little more space and to officially summit Piestewa peak.  Great views of downtown Phoenix and surrounding area.  Though we’ve lived here a long time neither of us have bothered to make the journey more into town to climb.  Glad we did!
