Pleasant surprise

First time at Henry Coe SP and it was better than I imagined. Perhaps it was the cool weather but it was a pleasant hike despite the ups and downs on this trail. The Shortcut lived up to its reputation, but the final uphill trek after all the others was the bigger challenge. On the way down, we were trying to beat the new sunset after the end of daylight saving time and we just made it as it got dark when we reached the parking lot.

We didn’t encounter any wild pigs.
