Poison Ivy Party

Bishop peak was the first of 3 peaks this weekend.  Friday afternoon started off with a trek from Mission Viejo, CA up to San Luis Obispo to meet my hiking partner, Philip Yoho, at the Foothill Boulevard Trailhead for Bishop Peak.  It was a quick and easy hike to start the weekend off.  Trail was easy to follow with a good number of other hikers.  The actual peak was difficult to find, which led us on side trails, around large boulders, and through poison oak.  We finally settled on the rock just up from the bench as our “peak”.  Great views, great weather and lots of poison oak, which would come back to haunt me in a few days!
