Power at Powell!

Oh boy,  when Alltrails says it’s hard…you better believe it! With it’s 40 switchbacks, this trail is no joke!

But it was a peaceful hike. Aside from a couple of other hikers, we had the trail all to ourselves. Pretty well maintained trail. We started at  7am and the weather was wonderful, not cold and with a little bit of breeze along the way. The scent of pine trees permeated the air. Eventually, we reached the top and we were rewarded with beautiful views and blue skies and that made our simple lunch quite delectable. Going down was a lot easier and faster.
