After the first mile, the trail was completely covered in ice, I’m glad I brought my microspikes and trekking poles this time around! When I made it to the peak, I made some new friends, one of them kindly gave me a beer. Also, this is the first hike that I’m officially starting my tradition of “Praising the Sun” (Dark Souls reference) at every major summit.
