Puffy Trail

The forecast was 20% chance of rain in the area and along CA-2 it started drizzling lightly with very heavy fog. I was already considered not to go up Redbox and stopped at brown mountain dam TH to wait for my friends. Good thing we decided to push through as it was not raining at the parking area but almost full.

The weather was perfect and it was gorgeous when we started. Some clouds rolling in and forming in the valley given the illusion that we were so high. Still quite a number of hikers but we always enjoyed the view towards the end of the trail, beyond the sign.

On the way back, the view of the nearby mountains was swallowed by the thick fog and rain was imminent before noon.
