Purple meadows at Cuyamaca Peak

I’m SO glad we didn’t take the fire road! The  flowers and views were spectacular and made the annoying bugs more bearable. There were pretty views all the way up. The heat was rough (which we knew it would be), so we camped at Paso Picacho fir the weekend. My daughter brought up and prepared a beautiful charcuterie table for our group. We hit the trail at 5:45 AM! Yo avoid some heat- it was SMART!
