This was my fourth and last day in Arizona so after hitting Camelback in the morning I drove over to tackle Quartz to finish off the six pack. This was incredibly challenging as my body was sore and tired from 4 days of hiking to get all six peaks. Another steep climb. Halfway up I put in my earbuds and listened to music to get me moving. Something I very rarely do as I like to enjoy nature. I was so tired I wanted to quit, but it was my last day and last peak needed So I kept moving up. Unlike Camelback I only ran into three other people on this hike. Very solitary and beautiful. Sat among the quartz at the summit with an eagle perched on the rocks nearby watching me. The whole hike took me 5 hours as I moved so slow heading up. Great end to the Arizona Winter six pack.
