Rainy Memorial Day Mt. St. Helena

This run/hike had gotten postponed twice due to weather — and today’s weather was no better. Hoping for a higher cloud ceiling — we could catch some views from the fire trail, but the clouds didn’t cooperate too much. We did take the side trail from the saddle to the South Peak, which was uninspiring and cold as it started to sleet. Then, we headed up to the North Peak, where it seemed to warm up, but the clouds didn’t break. Didn’t get much of a view from the peak. The return trip was easy and we saw many more braving the rain to summit. I’ll have to return when the weather is better — like yesterday was or tomorrow (apparently). The upside is we went wine tasting afterwards and found a couple new wineries we like.
