Return to Santiago

With Maple Springs Road being reopened after the Airport Fire, I jumped at the chance to drive up to my usual trailhead to hike the peak again and see the damage from that fire. I followed the road to the summit, skipping the trail that starts from the saddle. I debated taking it upon my return, but the road was in really good shape, and I also wanted to climb Modjeska Peak. Had 5 cars pass me while hiking, and saw another 3 on the drive back down.
