Rising to the Rose Peak Challenge

Even though Rose Peak was the longest hike of this year’s challenge, it didn’t feel as tough as the Mt. Sizer hike that concluded with 3+ miles of uphill, whereas Rose Peak was essentially up on the way out and down on the way back. We had a perfect hiking day with slight cloud cover and moderate wind. Wildflowers galore and great clouds, making for photogenic vistas. Hiked the AllTrails out and back route with 15 hikers from South Bay Hiking Meetup group, expertly led by Muruga and Mike.
