Road Walk Wind Tunnel

This was an odd one for me. Since I wanted to bring the pup we had to take the Fire Lookout Road the whole way up. The odd part is going for a hike but walking up a road the whole way. Very windy given the prominence and isolation of the summit. There were some steeper sections that were tough on the shins on the way up given the asphalt. If this is the route for you and you’re bringing a pup I’d definitely do this while it’s still cool out as the asphalt will be HOT later on. All in all this was more of a check box for me and we wrapped it up in just under 2hrs.
