Rock on at Elden lookout!

Hiked this solo and started off at 6am to try to beat the heat. It’s not the most peaceful with constant sounds of the railroad and traffic but was a great opportunity to jam out with the earbuds. This was a very rocky trail, so make sure you wear shoes with good grip. And I would recommend hiking poles for coming back down. Beautiful views and lots of shade opportunity, especially if you start early. There was a heat advisory today and it was definitely warm but you could still feel the cool northern breeze every so often which helped out a lot.
