Rocky Mountain Hike

This was my first time hiking Black Butte and I was pleasantly surprised as I was not expecting much.  This felt like the best kept secret!  Loved the trail and the amazing views!  It got very windy during the last 1/2 mile to the top, and such a rocky trail that kept things fun and interesting.  There was kind of a sketchy narrow boulder we scrambled  on to get to the top of the lookout foundation.  On the way back down we encountered a rattlesnake, cool but scary.
