Rose Peak

The thing that stood out to me on this hike is how green the East Bay hills are right now. There aren’t many wildflowers yet, though there are a few patches starting to bloom. Otherwise, the weather was about as perfect as you can hope for when climbing 4500 ft of ascent — sunny and clear skies yet not hot, with a cool breeze the higher up I went. And the trail was almost completely dry (which will change in another day or so).
