San Berdoo, Take Two!

So we tried to hike San Bernardino about 18 months and the elevation got to this young hiker and we had to turn back about 1.5 miles from the summit. Gave it another go today and although the altitude reared its ugly head again as we approached the summit, we persevered and got er done! The weather was really good but it did start to warm up on the way back down. There are a lot of fallen trees blocking sections of the trails right now. People have made makeshift paths around them but it would be nice if someone from the forest service would come chainsaw some of that stuff out of the way. Views were great and lots of spring blooms. Probably the hardest hike we have done so far but chalk it up as “completed!”
