San Bernardino Overnight
We backpack up 10 miles from Angelous Oaks on Saturday and camped at Forsee Creek Trail divide. The weather was in the mid 40s and breezy. It was a brutal eight hours of ascent to get to camp with a 35 lbs load backpack. Fortunately, the wind calmed down a little at camp but the temperature was probably in the high teens. It was freezing cold in the night. I had a 15 degrees sleeping bag and still had to put on 4 layers including the rain shell to stay warm in the tent.
It was the following day, with a lighter backpack on our descent, we summit San Bernardino and the East Peak.
