This hike seemed to take forever to get to the peak, more than once I thought we were there. It was so disappointing not to be at the peak. It was hot but there was actually a good amount of shade.  I brought 3 liters of water and 1 liter of electrolytes. I generally drink 3L, this hike I drank all 4. My All Trails map I was following said 15.9 miles, my app went berserk and said it was 12 miles at the top but I was sitting still and the dot was still moving all over the place, Garmin said 17.21 and the iphone health app said over 20.  All I know is that both on the way up and the way back I thought it was too long and I wanted it to be over.

It is a very pretty hike, lots of nice scenery. I just was not mentally prepared for such a long hike. I sincerely doubt I will do it again.
