San Bernardino Peak, I dislike you.

Lovely in spring, probably. I like snow.

In summer? Hot. Long. Uphill. Some green hilltops are reminiscent of the Sound of Music. I exhausted all four liters of water, and finally relied on my Sawyer-mini to harvest from the pleasant near midpoint.

Downhill was worse – so bad, convinced me to invest in hiking poles. Unpleasant – hence no pictures – but ultimately fine.
