Hiked with a group

This hike was ROUGH! I mean I knew it was going to be tallest peak in socal and all. I hiked this peak with 4 other people who I am hiking Kilimanjaro with next summer so we are used to some tough hikes. This hike has a tough climb at the beginning about 0.5 mile in that lasts about a mile. After that it’s smooth sailing and pretty enjoyable until the last 3 mile climb to the peak. Let me tell you that last 2-3 miles feels never ending. Every time we turned a corner we thought okay this has to be it… spoiler alert it wasn’t. All and all we made it to the peak so it was a success. Because of daylight savings we started this hike at 6am when the sun was rising and didn’t finish until 5pm after the sun had set. Night hiking has officially been crossed off the bucket list, but never need to hike in the dark again that was spooky. Long hike but so glad we were able to complete it!!
