After Gorgonio reopened, I decided to return here to complete this year’s Six Pack of Peaks Challenge. I started just after 5 a.m. and the first person I ran into was about 4 miles in when a ranger (presumably) asked me for my permit.
It was a beautiful day and surprisingly warm (even near the summit). The last time I hiked Gorgonio this late in the year, it was very cold near the top.
This marks my fourth summit of San Gorgonio and my fourth year completing the Six Pack of Peaks challenge.
