San Gorgonio Summit via Fish Creek

Great trip with my three boys!  Cole (17), Landon and Justin (13) and I hiked in to Fish Creek Saddle Camp on Friday, then summited midday.  The weather was very nice – not too cold at night and there was a breeze on Saturday to keep us cool on the mostly-exposed Fish Creek route.  Pretty busy at the summit with around 20 people at a time.  We ran into a juvenile black bear on the contour route from Fish Creek Saddle toward the Mineshaft/Dry Lake trail fork.  Dry lake still has a good bit of water and Fish Creek (about 2.8 mi. from Fish Creek Saddle) was a needed refreshment on the way back to the trailhead.  Trail in great condition in spite of the fire and bugs were annoying in camp only.
