Yes I started from the tram. Yes, it still counts! A completely different experience than hiking San J in the snow. It was good to see what was underneath the snow as I was hiking and reminiscing about my solo journey. Unfortunately everything is dry. Luckily the water spigot is on at Round Valley and we were able to filter for our return trip. I took 3L and by Wellmans Divide on our return I was down to 1L. Better to be safe than sorry.
