San Jacinto

An absolutely beautiful peak, an absolutely miserable first few miles. The beginning of the trail is steep and dusty, and doesn’t let up until the middle section. Weather was moderate, breezy at the top. Stayed in Idyllwild the night before to get an alpine start without the 2hr drive. Glad we pushed through, because the summit is beautiful and rocky! Coming down was enjoyable since the work was behind us. I’ll probably look for an easier trail up for next time.
