San Jacinto is spectacular

John Muir was 100% correct. The view from San Jacinto peak is absolutely sublime. Being the prominent peak in its range, the unobstructed view of the surrounding area is amazing. Trail is less to be desired, as I was post-holing up to my knees. Had to break out the snowshoes early on and switch to crampons for the rock scramble to the summit. I did a little backcountry snowshoeing to cut the switchbacks on the descend.
