San Jacinto – Little Yosemite

Started at 6.45 am from the Marion Mountain Trailhead. Smallish parking lot. Saw some has parked on the road when I came back.

This trail doesn’t mess about. It’s straight climb and climb with not a lot of respite until you get to little round valley. There is a stream at around 4.5 miles in. I didn’t need it though. Carried enough water. The trail is incredibly shaded. I did not feel this was summer at all.

Pay attention to the trail. It’s easy to get off course in some sections. I did and had to backtrack a few times.

The peak is pretty cool. Incredible views. Best so far.
