We backpacked in and set up camp at Round Valley, then spent a few hours relaxing and soaking it all in before making our way toward the summit.

The wind had other plans—it was colder than expected at the peak—so we decided to turn back and catch the sunset from the saddle instead. And honestly, it couldn’t have worked out better.

As the sun disappeared, we caught a glimpse of the moon rising, and it was absolutely gorgeous. One of those moments that makes you stop and appreciate exactly where you are.

Then it was back to camp for a little sleep before packing up and heading out Sunday. Tired legs, happy hearts, and another mountain adventure in the books.
