San Jacinto on a day off

Went up on Friday morning on the 9AM tram, took my time since I knew that I would be camping at Round Valley overnight. The trail up to Round Valley was pretty and smooth, but after Round Valley up to Wellman’s Divide was rough, and from there to the peak was RIDICULOUSLY rocky. I took my sweet time, since there was no time constraints on me, and I got up there by about 2:30 pm. Went back down to Round Valley and camped the night there. At 3:30 AM is was 43 degrees up there and there was NO wind to speak of.  Woke up at 5:30 AM and got ready and on trail by 6:30. Took my time again since the first tram down was at 8 AM, and got there just after the first tram had left.
