san Jacinto Overnight

To the tram up from Palm Springs, then hiked up to Round Valley Campground. The water was flowing nicely after “Hillary”, so I carried in very little. I set up camp, ate dinner, and went to bed. Between a pulled muscle and the winds, did not have the best night. Woke before dawn and set off. was treated with some lovely views as I made my way up to the Wellman divide. Took a short break, then continued on to the summit. As expected had the summit to myself. The winds were still blowing, so it was a tad chilly, found a nice spot out of the wind and took a well-earned break. Ran into two hikers back at Wellman Divide, one was doing a loop and the other was going to continue on to the summit. Once back at Round Valley, I broke down camp and the sauntered back to the tram station.
