Intense elevation gains at the beginning and end of this hike with glorious views at the peak. Great training for Mt. Whitney. Tram is having its annual maintenance until September 1st so not many people out there this morning. VERY buggy the last 1.5 miles back at the trailhead but thankfully not until then.
